Lima Chicory
An agreeable alternative to coffee, chicory can be consumed pure, filtered like coffee: measure 1/2 to one teaspoon per cup into a filter and add boiling water. It is preferable to use a neutral mineral water. You can also cook the chicory, which gives it a milder taste. Ingredients: chicory and that is all! Keep dry.Caffeine free.
This chicory, cultivated in Belgium, is ground and packaged in France. The chicory is sown at the end of April to the beginning of May. The roots, which can reach a length of 30 cm, are harvested in October. They are duly washed, cut, and dried before being roasted. In Belgium, the chicory eaten as a vegetable is better known under the name 'chicon' (endive).
