The coffee has a superb clean and crisp taste with slight acidity and full body. Grown at over 2,000 metres, these are marked SHB (strictly hard bean) a feature of top arabica coffees. The higher altitude allows the beans to mature slowly, increasing acidity and giving a fuller flavour. Its mild flavour makes Costa Rican coffee very good for breakfast.The Coocafe co-operative in Costa Rice are made up of 3,500 small organic producers. Their organic production concentrates on water purification and shade grown coffees. Their link with Fairtrade has enabled them to support 224 schools and colleges in the last 12 years.

Grown by the Cecovasa co-operatives situated on the edge of the Amazon Rainforest, on the foothills of the Andes Mountains. The group compromises of 800 co-operative, employing 4,500 people. The coffee has good body with excellent sweetness in the cup. The full medium roast gives a lovely "nutty" flavour. Excellent for all day drinking.
