This herring is sustainably fished in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Norway and Iceland, using small sized community based fishing boats that go out at night and return in the morning. No drag nets are used because these can be up to 100km long and will kill dolphins, whales, sharks, turtles and sea birds. Factory ships are not used and the fish is not frozen either on board or on land. The herring is caught in small net sacks and only the fillet of the fish is used.
Ingredients: herring fillets (55%), tomato pulp (20%), vegetables (10% onion, gherking, carrot) sunflower oil, wine vinegar, raw cane sugar, sea salt, juniper berries, mustard seeds, spices, thickener guar gum and carob seed flour, egg white.
